This Sunday, we acknowledge a very important day for all Australians. We take the time to remember our ANZACs who served their country at war and this week’s #ThrowbackThursday honours some of the 90 Queenslandambulance officers who enlisted in World War I. Sadly, some never made it home, whilst many returned home and continued a career with our service after the war ended.
Remembering those who died during active service – Hubert Harris, Alan Fuller, Stanley Daniel, Ernest Pilcher, John Kay, Stephen Atkinson, Hastings Brest, Albert Kennett, Thomas Tench, Robert Brocklesby and William Armstrong.
Some were awarded the Military Medal or the Distinguished Conduct Medal for their gallantry… More
